A company headed by the largest contributor to Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman's campaign is under investigation for mishandling millions of dollars in client money. Edwin Fujinaga, who heads Las Vegas-based MRI International, bundled $40,000 through various entities to Goodman's campaign, as you can see here. Premium subscribers to this site have already seen a memo prepared by White Pine County as the resolution to remove mining taxation from the Consttitution comes up for a vote. Now, the county's community and economic development boss, Jim Garza, has sent the memo with a cover letter to legislative leaders. Could it scuttle SJR 15? We'll know soon. I've attached it here.
