Good morning, everyone. Gov. Brian Sandoval traveled to Afghanistan this weekend to hide from a surging Bob Goodman campaign. Goodman gores to China, Sandoval to Afghanistan, Lt. Gov. Brian Krolicki takes over the state. I kid. Sandoval went with a few other governors, and the RJ’s Sean Whaley was on a media call on Sunday.

Good morning, everyone. It occurs to me as we are a couple dfys and three weeks from the commencement of voting in Nevada that rarely have Nevadans known so little about candidates for the major races. This is a bit scary. In 2012, voters knew plenty about the top of the ticket – the presidential race, Dean Heller, Shelley Berkley. In 2010, Harry Reid and Sharron Angle, Brian Sandoval and Rory Reid were pretty well vetted.

Good morning, everyone. Early this morning, the state released the latest unemployment numbers: 7.6 percent, lowest since August 2008 and 2.2 percentage points under a year ago. The comeback continues! This could really hurt Bob Goodman’s bid for governor.
