The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee is up with a new ad about Sen. Dean Heller, portraying him as a Wall Street tool who wants to end Medicare as we know it.

Best part of the ad is that shot of Heller is taken from a Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid video of a delegation meeting in 2009, when they were talking about Yucca Moutnain. Too good:
Since the end of last month, signficantly more Democrats have registered online than Republicans, according to numbers I've obtained from the secretary of state's office.
UPDATE: Below are numbers for last two years and since Sept. 1. Since the beginning of the month, as many people have registered online as did in the previous two years.
The overall numbers: 7,338 Democrats and 6,558 Republicans through Tuesday. Since Sept. 1: Democrats, 4,411; Republicans, 2,874. That's a blowout...
President Obama has been to Nevada eight times in 2010 and 15 times since he was sowrn in. But when he arrives Sunday for Trip No. 16, it will be his fourth in just over a month, showing just how important the state has become to his path to victory.

State Sen. Michael Roberson, who hopes to be the upper house leader next year, has formed two new PACs to increase his ability to raise money.

The presidential race is tied in Nevada and Sen. Dean Heller is up 5 in the Senate race, according to a well-known GOP pollster, contradicting results of the survey I posted a short time ago.
Glen Bolger has been one of the more reliably accurate pollsters here, so his numbers, outlined in two documents below, should not be discounted.

President Obama is stretching his lead to 9 percentage points in Nevada and Rep. Shelley Berkley is up 4 over Sen. Dean Heller in a new Public Policy Polling survey taken for the League of Conservation Voters.
The survey, which you can see below and was taken last week of 501 likley voters, shows Obama up 52-43 and Berkley up 48-44. Those numbers are even greater for the president than other public polls and Berkley's lead will come as a surprise considering other results.

Three sources have now confirmed that Mitt Romney raised $2 million at his Red Rock Resort fundraiser Friday in Las Vegas.
The event, which included $2,500 to $25,000 donor levels, was the second $2 million payday for Romney in Vegas. The first was at Donald Trump's place in May.
So even if Romney loses the state, it's been good to him -- add the $4 million to whatever Sheldon Adelson has donated under cover of a c4.
Maybe he needs to blow some cash in Vegas and get some R & R before the big Denver debate a week from Wednesday.

The Democrats have extended their registration lead to about 65,000 voters over the Republicans, continuing an inexorable stretching of a lead that could make the difference in November in critical races.
To put this in perspective, the Democrats had lost so much of their lead -- once at 100,000-plus statewide in the halcyon days of 2008 -- that it was down to 37,000 voters in January. It now appears the Democrats may double that lead by the time registration closes in three weeks.
