Reid to headline first Flores fundraiser in DC next week

If you want any more evidence that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid wants Lucy Flores to be lieutenant governor to stop Brian Sandoval from considering a U.S. Senate bid in two years, see below (the invite and the labor pitch):

And labor is all-in, too:

Dear XXXX,

I am writing today to urge you to support Lucy Flores for Lt. Governor in

Nevada. Senator Harry Reid is hosting a fundraising breakfast for Lucy

on March 13, 2014 at Charlie Palmer Steak House, 101 Constitution

Ave. NW, in Washington, DC at 7:45 a.m. The breakfast invitation is

Lucy Flores will fight for working families because she comes from one.

Unlike too many in politics, she has never forgotten those she was

elected to represent. As a member of the Nevada Assembly, she

focused on increasing opportunity for Nevada’s middle class and

improving our education system.  She understands that Nevadans

want leaders who get things done – not engage in the sort of petty

partisan battles that divide us without creating a single job or

educating a single child.

Labor in Nevada will support and work hard for Lucy Flores for

Lt. Governor. She always stands up for working families.  Also, she

will be on the top of the ticket because our Republican Governor will

have no serious opponent.  She will definitely be an energizer for

Hispanic voters who make up 26% of the total population in this

midterm election.

Please join Senator Harry Reid and Nevada Labor in supporting

Lucy Flores.
