First teachers union ad uses margin tax foe Sandoval to sell more money for education

3:40 PM, UPDATED BELOW WITH REID AD, TOO:

No one has spoken out more against The Education Initiative than Gov. Brian Sandoval.

He has described the margin tax in terms generally reserved for what the world would look like after nuclear armageddon.

So I find it quite delicious that the Clark County Education Association, in the first ad in the battle for education funding this cycle, uses Sandoval in its pitch. No mention of the margin tax. But it's there, in spirit.

Narrator: Everyone agrees our schools need more money.

[Wipe to video of Brian Sandoval]

Sandoval: We also need to give our children the resources and tools that they need to effectively compete in today's economy.

Narrator: But kids can't wait forever. Business leaders can do more.

A sense of humor is important. I hope the governor retains his.

(There's also an ad featuring Sen. Harry Reid, which I hope to have soon.)

UPDATE: The other ad features Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

Narrator: Everyone agrees our schools need more money.

Harry Reid: Nevada ranks 50th in state contributions to education. 50th! Our children really deserve better.

Narrator: But kids can't wait forever. Business leaders can do more.
