Fiore in danger of losing business license

UPDATED, 7:30 AM, 11/5/15: Fiore asserted the government essentially put her out of business with regulations and fees in a goofy news release I posted below. She compared herself to Rosa Parks on the radio Thursday (I am serious.). And despite saying in July that she would welcome state inspectors and serve them treats, she attacked them this week, contradicting herself.

Also below: The final state letter sent to her this week.

Assemblywoman Michele Fiore, “I shut my business down”

Nevada Assemblywoman Michele Fiore has released a statement regarding allegations that her home health care company was shut down by the government.

“With the signing of a Notice Of Dissolution last week, I have completely closed my home health care business. It is appalling to me that a state employee would go to the press with this kind of false story without having any details. While the media will try to tell you that my business was shut down by the government, I would like to lay that rumor to rest. You can read the real story in my article “When "They" win, we all lose” which was written last month and released yesterday in “La Voce” magazine.

“My mother and I are proud to have created over 2000 jobs and provide quality home care to over 650 patients throughout the years, but the never-ending barrage of government red tape and regulations has made being in business not worth being in business”.

“To put it simply, it happened because "They", the army of regulators, bureaucrats, and inspectors, followed by the ever-increasing array of taxes and fees, won.

“The more obstacles our local, state and federal government keeps putting in the way, the harder they’re making it for people to work. The result of this is not only higher unemployment rates and more people needing welfare assistance to pay for food and housing, but also a lack of motivation for citizens to start their own businesses.

With that being said, whenever one door closes, another door opens. I am proud to announce the upcoming launch of my new political magazine “Truth in Politics”. In this magazine we will take a hard look at politics in Nevada and make sure constituents are kept informed on the issues that affect them most.”

November 3, 2015 Letter to Ms. Fiore by Jon Ralston

UPDATED, 2 PM, 11/3/15:

Assemblywoman Michele Fiore will lose her state license to operate. She has now at least thrice snubbed state inspectors. This is really something.

From the Division of Public and Behavioral Health (DPBH) Bureau of Health Care Quality and Compliance  (HQCQ):

The Division of Public and Behavioral Health (DPBH) Bureau of Health Care Quality and Compliance  (HQCQ) attempted again today to inspect Always There 4 You and found the business to be closed and a different business setting up operation in the location. Staff further attempted to contact the owners by phone, which was also unsuccessful. Due to  HQCQ’s inability to contact the business, and their failure to respond to previous contacts,  HCQC is taking action to administratively close the license.

This, folks, is an elected official.

Newly minted congressional candidate Michele Fiore, who has had run-ins with the state over her home health care business and owes the IRS hundreds of thousands of dollars, is in danger of losing her license to operate.

Assemblywoman Fiore had until the end of the day today to answer state inspectors, who found her business shuttered and apparently closed when they visited in September. Less than two weeks ago, the state sent Fiore a letter asking her if she was still operating her business and gave her 10 days to respond. That expired today.

The letter is below. I will append a comment from Fiore if she answers my query.
