During an interview this morning on KNPR, Clark County Sheriff Doug Gillespie said Cliven Bundy is a "very principled man in regard to his beliefs," but said the BLM "was within their bounds to do what they were doing."
Gillespie said he has had several "interactions" during his years in law enforcement with Bundy. But while he expressed some sympathy for Bundy's attitude toward the BLM, the sheriff said: "There's a federal court order. He lost in court...I made it very clear that he needs to fight this fight in court."
Gillespie said he feared bloodshed if the situation had not been tamped down. He would not say what would happen next or when.
