Secretary of State Ross Miller has decided to advocate for a raft of campaign reforms in a state where most serious efforts have been entombed by craven legislators.
Among the concepts in a bill draft I have obtained and posted below (with a summary) is the most important one of all: Real-time, year-round campaign contribution reporting.
Kudos, SOS.
Also:
----Prohibition on gifts
----Greater disclosure from third party groups
----Reporting ending fund balance (amazing this does not exist already)
----Personal use of campaign funds defined
----Stronger enforcement and penalty capabilities
It may just be the most sweeping meausre of its kind in Nevada history. Finally, something that could engender bipartisanship in Carson City -- the wrong kind of cooperation, that is.

To the ramparts....
