Judge strikes down two minimum wage regulations

In the ongoing legal war over the minimum wage in Nevada, which has been going on for more than a year, those who say the regulations don;t refelect what the people passed quietly have won a meaningful court victory.

Judge James Wilson, in an order you can see below, has invalidated two of the regs.

One allowed employers to count tips from customers in figuring how much they could charge minimum wage workers for their health insurance. And the other allowed employers who wanted to pay $7.25 rather than $8.25 an hour merely to "offer" health insurance rather than "provide" it.

These are two hugely significant developments. Expect an appeal, and keep an eye on this one.
