Veteran Reporter Jon Ralston Joins PBS Stations in Nevada
Governor Brian Sandoval Scheduled as First Guest
(Las Vegas, Reno) – Veteran reporter, commentator and news analyst Jon Ralston is returning to statewide television five nights a week. He begins his weekday program,Ralston Live,Monday, March 2 at 5:30 p.m. on Nevada’s two PBS member stations, Vegas PBS and KNPB in Reno. Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval is scheduled to be the first guest of the program.
The program will repeat overnight on both stations and will be available online on their websites. The repeat broadcasts are scheduled for midnight on both KNPB and Vegas PBS.
Ralston Live will feature the type of interviews, commentary and analysis that have made Jon Ralston a household name in Nevada for many years. Longtime executive producer Dana Gentry also joins Ralston Live.
“I’m thrilled to be joining Vegas PBS and KNPB,” Ralston said. “This is a perfect marriage of two brands. I look forward to doing what we have done for years on television at a place with a storied history of quality programming.”
Ralston’s move to public television marks a return to his broadcast roots. As a columnist for the Las Vegas Review-Journal and Las Vegas Sun newspapers, Ralston became a regular guest on the weekly Vegas PBS program Nevada Week in Review in the early 1980s. His broadcast presence grew to a nightly program broadcast on cable and commercial television.

Production of Ralston’s nightly broadcasts will be shared by Vegas PBS and KNPB Reno. The two stations provide broadcast coverage to the entire state of Nevada.
